Tesamorelin has unusually strong human evidence for a peptide discussed in contemporary longevity and metabolic medicine. But that does not mean every claim made about it is supported.

Tesamorelin is a synthetic growth hormone–releasing factor analog developed to stimulate endogenous growth hormone secretion. Its clinical development produced randomized controlled human trials and ultimately FDA approval for reduction of excess abdominal fat in HIV-infected adults with lipodystrophy.
